Finding Eagle Rays with the 'Rohde Rope'

Here's some info from a friend who has had some experience attracting the Eagle Ray with the use of a rope.

Tom: "I got an e-mail from Karen saying that you had some luck using the 'Rohde Rope' to get an eagle ray close to you. Please tell me all about it. How big was it? Did you have to go up so that it would see you? How long and what color rope did you use?"

Randy: "Diving with you IS special. An 8 footer cruised by so I whipped out my Rohde Rope. She came back and circled then came back again and let me swim behind and above her. I am using a 12-foot section of white poly line with a small weight on the bottom. I keep it in my weight pocket attached and ready for deployment. When the eagle left a school of 15 Manta Rays passed by. They were juveniles 3 to 4 feet. Awesome site. This was all in the lemon area. I attribute the curiosity and the proximity to the deployment of the Rohde Rope"
